BEGINNER 101 YOGA - Foundations
Perfect for anyone who is new to yoga. This series provides a solid foundation in the essential yoga poses. Each session builds on the previous week’s class, allowing you to absorb and apply what you’ve learned so that you’ll feel prepared for our ongoing Hatha, Core or Vinyasa Classes. Get a thorough introduction to yoga in the company of other brand new beginners. Take a close look at the most commonly practiced poses and learn how to modify them for your ability or body type.
Note: this foundation series progresses in difficulty over the 6 weeks. If you require consistent gentle movement or have body injuries that require healing please consider our Slow Flow Yoga or Relax & Release Classes (both appropriate for beginners).

SLOW FLOW YOGA - Very gentle movement
Explore the asanas (yoga postures) from the inside out, using the breath to integrate your natural energies, releasing tension, building strength and integrating body and mind.
The selected postures conclude with a ten minute savasana
(relaxation pose) that allows you to let go of tension and mind chatter. This class will leave you relaxed and renewed for the week ahead.
Great for beginners, or for those wanting to bring gentle movement into their bodies. There are usually no Sun Salutations in this class.

RELAX & RELEASE - a stress buster class
This class is designed to release all of the stress we can hold in our bodies and mind. Using meditation and pranayama (breathing techniques), restorative yoga poses and yoga therapy techniques we will take the time to allow the body to let go of held in tensions and allow the mind to become quiet from all of the internal chatter.
Most poses in this class will be seated or laying down and will end with an extended Savasana (relaxation).

LEVEL 2 YOGA CLASSES------------------------------------
Pre-requisite: Beginner 101 or 6 months
of yoga experience.
HATHA FLOW YOGA - Intermediate
Designed for students with experience in basic poses. Hatha Flow Yoga
has an energetic yet comfortable flow as we move through sequences
that build confidence of alignment in essential yoga poses. After
gently awakening the body with Sun Salutations we progress to flowing
sequences investigating the connection between breath, movement and
mind.

CORE YOGA
(ABS)
This flow style class focuses on your center using the abdomen, lower
back and buttocks to improve posture to create abdominal and back
strength and flexibility. In this class we will learn how to move
from the core of the body and the relationship of the core to our
practice.

RETURNING CLASS! VINYASA FLOW YOGA
Vinyasa flow yoga is a combination of fluid movements and deep
rhythmic breaths.This connection between movement and breathing benefits well being and physical health. It also helps to cultivate a calm, focused and stress free state of mind.
Each pose flows fluidly and dynamically linked through many sun salutations into the next pose. It is a vigorous, exhilarating, all over experience designed to tone and stretch the whole body, relieving stress and create a deep experience of physical and mental balance. It makes for a challenging, fun and invigorating class!

PILATES MAT 2 (intermediate) ***
Class designed for those with basic knowledge and experience in Pilates Mat. This class will have more of a flow and move at a faster pace improving on balance and posture, achieving deep strength, flexibility and endurance, challenging your mind body connection.
Prerequisite: Mat Pilates 1 or previous experience

PILATES FOR BACK CARE
If you are worried about taking part in a fitness class because of back pain then think again, back pain is one of the most common ailments plaguing adults today. Take back your quality of life by strengthening core muscles around the spine, shoulders and abdomen. This class is a great way to improve flexibility, mobility and functional fitness.

PRENATAL (PREGNANCY) YOGA
Yoga during pregnancy can help prepare you for the challenges that
may arise in your delivery. Awareness of breath and learning to focus,
along with gently opening and aligning the body can ease many
of the aches and pains associated with pregnancy. These classes
include pranayama (breathwork), asana (postures) and meditation.
